Maria Gray
Welfare Officer
Maria is a Hanslope resident that joined Hanslope care in November 2020 after seeing a little advert in the local shop window. She has worked in the care industry for over 35 years and has the advantage of working in a variety of settings from residential and nursing to social and domiciliary care. Maria’s wide experience made her the ideal candidate for welfare work. Hanslope Care recognises that caring is a tough job, not just physically demanding but also emotionally and Maria is there to help everyone in the best way she can. She will always make the time to have a quick chat and cup of tea with anyone that needs her support and advocacy.
Maria had already obtained her level NVQ 2 and 3 in adult health and social care with previous employer and has been able to apply what she has learnt. Maria takes staff supervisions and appraisals, undertakes quality checks with clients and ensures staff with disability or other protected characteristics have reasonable adjustments.
Maria can attend client houses in person to resolve concerns quickly and effectively or if required she can initiate the formal complaints protocol supporting staff and client through the process to push for improvements in the service.
